Drawing from a foundation in communication design, visual art,  and community-oriented experiences, Will Howell’s creative practice exists at the intersection of culture, storytelling, and correlational research. After receiving a BFA from Parsons, Will relocated to Miami where he had the pleasure of working with clients across Hospitality, Nightlife, Fashion, Fine Art, Household Appliances, and Sports & Entertainment. His work moves fluidly across medium and experiential spaces—often blurring the line between commercial and personal expression.

Howell approaches design as a living, collaborative process shaped by rhythm, environment, and human interaction. Whether developing identities for emerging brands, curating immersive events, or constructing visual narratives through image-making and installation, Will brings a curiosity towards what is possible with an intention to add value to any project at hand. In the Fall of 2026, Will will be going back to Parsons in pursuit of an MFA in Transdisciplinary design.

The title of the instillation, “Before it Rains” aims at embodying an atmosphere—an anticipatory space between stillness, clarity, and the heavy clouds. From October 20–25, I was able to curate an installation that gathered six fine art works, printed matter straight from my personal library, and a deliberate soundscape to explore the quiet tension that exists just before a shift. Each piece—both visual, sonic, or printed—is a fragment of that moment when something is about to change. Whether it’s the hue of a sky seconds before the first drop, a glimmer of emotional static in a song, or the text layed tight on a page before they’re spoken—the works on display invites pause and presence. Embodying all of the various reference points which play a pivotal part in my creative practice —this instillation sheds light into process, reflection, and the undercurrent narratives in his work.
